Welcome to Whimsy Writers, a creative storytelling app designed to help kids and families connect through laughter, imagination, and collaborative play. By accessing or using our app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
Whimsy Writers is committed to maintaining a child-safe environment and complies with the Google Play Families Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to accept these Terms on your behalf or on behalf of a minor. If you allow a minor to use the app, you agree to supervise their use.
2. Use of the App
Whimsy Writers grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial, educational, and entertainment purposes only, consistent with these Terms.
You agree not to:
Use the app for unlawful purposes.
Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the app.
Interfere with the app’s operation or security.
3. Subscription, Billing, and Free Trial
Whimsy Writers offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial ends, your app store account will be automatically charged unless canceled beforehand.
There is no free version of the app after the trial ends.
All billing and cancellation must be managed through your App Store or Google Play account.
We do not handle payments, refunds, or cancellations directly.
4. Affiliate Links and Disclosure
Our app may contain links to third-party products, services, and websites. Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you.
We only recommend products and services we believe add value, but we are not responsible for the content or policies of third-party sites.
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the app—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software—is owned by Whimsy Writers or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not use our content without permission except as allowed for personal, non-commercial use under these Terms.
6. User Content
You may submit original content through the app (such as stories and creative writing entries). By doing so, you grant Whimsy Writers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the app.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

The app is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free use.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via app update or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Whimsy Writers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We do not collect personal data for advertising or tracking purposes.

User Content: Story entries and other text inputs you create.
Device Info: Type, OS, and usage data (used for analytics and to improve functionality).
Optional Profile Info: If you choose to create a profile, we may collect a name or nickname and age range for personalization.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent.

3. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Recommendations

Data is also deleted automatically if you use the in-app delete button.

9. Shared Content Within the App
Whimsy Writers allows users to co-create and share stories within their private Creative Circles.
Shared stories are visible only to approved Circle members.
If your child shares a story, their nickname (if provided) may appear alongside it.
Other Circle members may view stories but cannot publicly comment.
You may remove any shared entry via in-app options or by contacting us.
10. Parental Controls and Review
Parents may contact us to request review or deletion of any stories or profile info created by their child. We encourage ongoing supervision to ensure a safe and joyful experience.
11. Content Moderation and Reports
To keep the app safe:
We reserve the right to monitor and remove any content that violates our Terms, community standards, or applicable law.
Users can report inappropriate content through the in-app reporting system or by emailing us.
Reported entries may be reviewed and removed. Repeat or serious violations may result in loss of access.
All reports and moderation data are used solely to maintain app safety and user experience.
